AppSpy is designed for Android developers, security researchers, and enthusiasts to inspect installed applications, analyze APK architectures (e.g. Flutter, React Native, Unity), audit permissions, calculate cryptographic hashes (SHA-1, SHA-256), and extract APK/APKS bundles for backup.
To provide its core diagnostic functions, AppSpy utilizes the following system capabilities:
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES (High-Risk Declaration):
This permission is strictly required on Android 11+ (API 30+) to retrieve the list of installed applications on your device. Without querying installed packages, the App cannot perform its primary function of inspecting application frameworks, permissions, libraries, and signatures.
.apks), or diagnostic report, AppSpy saves the file directly to your public Downloads/AppSpy directory using Android's standard Scoped Storage (MediaStore.Downloads) APIs. AppSpy does not request or require broad storage access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) and cannot access personal photos, videos, or documents.
AppSpy prioritizes user privacy. All app package analysis, inspection, and diagnostic processing remain strictly on your local device. To ensure ongoing stability and support development, AppSpy integrates the following trusted Google services:
Strict Guarantee: Neither service is ever provided with your device's installed package inventory, app inspection results, or extracted files.
AppSpy is a developer and diagnostic utility intended for users aged 13 and older (or 18 and older depending on regional laws). We do not knowingly target, solicit, or collect information from children under the age of 13.
Because AppSpy does not retain or store any user data on external servers or databases, there is no remote data to manage or delete. All temporary caches generated during deep scans are stored locally within the application sandbox and are completely wiped when you clear app data or uninstall the application.
We take security seriously. By keeping all analysis and APK parsing strictly local on your device, your data is never exposed to intermediate transit vulnerabilities, unauthorized eavesdropping, or server breaches.
We may occasionally update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Android OS requirements or Google Play Store developer policies. Any revisions will be published on this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date.
